Privacy policy
This policy covers Sideline for iPhone and iPad and this support website.
On your device
Sideline stores the boards, cues, playlists, imported audio, scripts, played checkmarks, and settings you create. It uses this information to display your board and play your cues. The iPad kickoff time is stored locally. Sideline does not require a Sideline account and includes no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.
Private iCloud sync
If you enable sync, Sideline sends your board data, imported audio, and changes to Apple CloudKit in your private iCloud account. It stores an iCloud account identifier on the device to prevent automatic syncing to a different account. Dausend Labs does not receive a copy of your private board on its own servers.
Apple Music
If you grant Apple Music access, Sideline uses MusicKit to search the catalog, browse your saved playlists, and play the songs you select. Song identifiers, titles, artwork references, and cue points may be saved with your board. Subscription audio plays through Apple Music and is not copied into your Sideline files. Apple handles iCloud and Apple Music under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Support and website
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you send. We use it to respond and troubleshoot and keep the correspondence as needed for support and related recordkeeping. Our web host may process routine connection information, such as IP addresses, for delivery and security. This site does not use analytics scripts or advertising cookies.
Privacy choices and deletion
You can turn off iCloud sync in Sideline Settings or revoke Apple Music permission in your device settings. Turning off sync keeps previously saved copies. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. To manage the separate iCloud copy, check Sideline in your device’s iCloud storage settings. Contact us if you need help removing Sideline data or want to request deletion of support correspondence.
